In Volcanoes and Earth’s Heat!, children explore what the inside of the Earth looks like and why it is so hot beneath the surface. They investigate what magma is, why lava is orange, and how volcanic stones feel and smell.
During the workshop, children build their own volcano. They craft and paint it, make their own magma, and finally let their volcano erupt. Step by step, they learn how an eruption works and what happens deep inside the Earth.
By building and experimenting themselves, children gain a clearer understanding of volcanoes, rocks and Earth’s heat. An active workshop where making, testing and discovering come together.
The location is upstairs and has no lift.
