Play with Science! In this interactive workshop, kids will explore the fascinating world of density through fun experiments and hands-on activities. They'll learn why some things float while others sink and even how to build their own mini-submarine!
What will we do?
In this workshop, children dive into the science of density.
They’ll create their own layered density glass using oil, water, and syrup, and test which materials float and which sink. With a calculator in hand, they'll learn how to calculate the density of liquids and solids and how density can help identify different metals.
Next, they’ll make a real diver in a bottle. A mini-experiment that shows how submarines and fish control their depth. And finally, they’ll discover why heat rises, and why ice floats.
A fun, hands-on, and eye-opening workshop that brings physics to life!
