Attractiepark Slagharen in Overijssel is a theme and holiday park set entirely in Wild West style. The park has more than 30 attractions, a tropical water park and daily shows. Open from April through October and during special events.
Gold Rush and Sky Sifter
Gold Rush is the triple-launch roller coaster of Slagharen: in three launches the coaster goes from 0 to 95 kilometres per hour, including a loop and corkscrew. Sky Sifter opened in spring 2026 and combines two experiences in one attraction. The silver route swings and floats without inversions. The gold route goes completely upside down. The minimum height for the silver route is 120 cm, for the gold route 130 cm.
Attractions for younger children
The park has a wide range of options for smaller children. Randy's Playground is an outdoor play area for children from 85 cm. The Passepartout Explorer is a car ride for children from 90 cm. The Gallopers is a carousel for children from 90 cm, with a companion up to 120 cm. The Big Wheel is a Ferris wheel 50 metres high, accessible from 130 cm. Phileas Fun House is an indoor play area for younger children.
Aqua Mexicana
Aqua Mexicana is the water park of Slagharen, 5,200 m² in size and styled in a Mexican atmosphere. It has 10 slides, a large bubble pool and an outdoor play area with a shallow lagoon pool for the little ones. The water park is included with day tickets.
Shows and entertainment
The park has daily shows with park mascots Randy and Rosie, street theatre and seasonal events. The fixed events in 2026 are: Magic Spring Festival (28 March to 14 June), Wild West Summer (20 June to 30 August), Halloween and Winter Slagharen.
Staying overnight
Vakantiepark Slagharen is located next to the theme park. There are various accommodations, including lodges, wigwams and cottages in Wild West style, for two to eight people.

0 to 3 years: Free entry. Limited range, but suitable for gentle attractions such as the monorail, carousels and shows.
4 to 8 years: Ideal age. Children can go on many family attractions and shows, such as Rosie's Tea Party and Wild West Adventure.
9 to 15 years: Great fun. The park has several roller coasters (such as Gold Rush) and water park Aqua Mexicana. 16+ and adults: Most enjoyable as part of a family group. While there are some thrilling attractions, the adult offering is less extensive than in other large theme parks.
The park is largely wheelchair accessible. Almost all attractions have a separate wheelchair entrance. Wheelchairs are available to borrow at the Guest Service with a €25.00 deposit, subject to availability and not reservable in advance. In Aqua Mexicana, a water wheelchair is available free of charge at the first aid post, with mandatory supervision. Accessible toilets are available in every toilet block throughout the park. Dedicated disabled parking spaces are located near the entrance, requiring a valid disabled parking permit. Visitors with a disability can collect a wristband at the Guest Service for access via the disabled entrance. Visitors with an Autism Pass can contact the Guest Service for a Randy & Rosie wristband.
